We are on a journey to be an IB world school, and as part of this you will hear your child using specific language linked to our Learner Profile Attributes and learning inquiries:
More information about what the LPAs are is here: ttps://oaksprimaryacademy.org.uk/about-us/vision-and-values/
- This term, we are doing a whole school inquiry where our pupils develop and reflect on their Learner Profile Attributes to become ‘active learners with agency’.
- Each week, your child’s class will focus on some of these Learner Profile Attributes; they will be asking you, as a parent or carer, how you see them as ‘a Thinker’, ‘an Inquirer’, ‘a Reflective learner’ etc and will ask you for an example, a word or a description which can be added to their task on Google Classroom or in their Brain Builders when these return after March 8th.
- Pupils will be writing first about how they display that attribute and staff will also be contributing to each child’s project. This inquiry is part of their Home Learning and isn’t an extra task.
- Your child’s teacher will be chatting to them about this project in their live lessons as well as in school from 8th March.
For your information, please click here to view the inquiry that your child will be working on – this will look different in the year groups.
We hope you all have a good week and we are really looking forward to welcoming your children back to school on Monday.
