This week’s inquiry learning has been based around the story Meerkat Mail by Emily Gravett. The children made meerkat masks and pretended to be Sunny (the main character) by talking about what he would see in the desert. In the story Sunny was looking for the perfect home, the children have had discussions and created pictures of what their perfect home looks like.
In phonics this week the children have been practicing their blending by playing games and making word frames. They have also been matching capital and lowercase letters. We are so impressed with how their blending is developing.
In maths the children have been learning about patterns, they have been looking for patterns in the environment, making patterns with sounds, movement and shapes. They have also been making repeating patterns around different shapes.
Well done Robins for another fantastic week of learning.
